Listen you youngster punks. This is a band that emerged concurrently with grunge in 1991-1992 and was BETTER than most of it. The Spin Doctors. This is Refrigerator Car, a live version. This is what a real GenX band sounds like. https://youtu.be/62OJTwkG5SA

I remember thinking "I'm listening to grunge" while listening to Pearl Jam's Ten, Nirvana's Nevermind,Spin Doctors Pocket Full of Kryptonite, Tool, and Toad the Wet Sprocket and Stone Temple Pilots. That was barely grunge!!

@neanderthalsnavel I never thought of Spin Doctors as grunge. Maybe more pop/rock but certainly not grunge

@neanderthalsnavel I thought Nirvana was supposed to be the epitome of grunge?

@tj they were but Alice in chains and soundgarden would've been more appropriate for my list. STP & Tool weren't grunge either. I forgot - Metallica's Black Album, Mazzy Star, and Van Halen's Live album were in the rotation at that time. Such a great time for music!
