EDM is interesting. What I like is that there's ~no physical pressure on the head or work, so no flex at all. What I don't like is that the tool erodes with the work, so you really need to keep on grinding it back to shape and re-inserting. Or if you use a wire machine, you burn through a FUCKTON of wire.

I’m thinking of starting with a die sinker or drill. They are supposed to operate at lower frequencies.What kind of pressure are you aiming for on your water jet?

I was really just curious about the feasibility of a water jet, it looks like it's "not very". Pressure needs to be >60k PSI, the head is complex because contains a mixer for adding grit to the stream, and the flex hoses will be painful to make, and bankrupting to buy.
