@trucy@girlcock.club The FSF is right.Copyright is not supposed to be used as a tool to enforce UN declarations. That's just really unnecessary. It can only cause very stupid problems, as every copyright claim would basically have to turn into an ICC case...Do not use this license for your project.

@trucy@girlcock.club For example if you live in a country that has violated human rights, you're basically unable to use the software. Because you live in that country you pay taxes in that country so you are indirectly responsible for human rights violations, because you pay taxes. Meaning you can't use the software as per the license...I can think of more reasons why this license is a bad idea.

@SuperDicq @trucy Aye, these licenses try to solve societal problems in a messy way and the only result is confusion over what is acceptable and isn't. A smart lawyer could argue your exact viewpoint to extort users.

@emu@blob.cat Yes exactly. And Trucy, who just told me to go fuck myself, probably is trying to imply that FSF is against human rights because they did not approve the license. That is obviously far from the truth. The FSF is a good organization and they obviously care about rights. They just don't want the copyright system to be abused in this way.

@trucy@girlcock.club And in the worst case scenario this license allows you as the copyright holder to sue literally anyone you don't like by simply labeling them as evil. Thankfully this condition of the license has never to my knowledge actually been tried in court, so we don't know for sure if that is possible.

@trucy @Stellar Well not all good licences have to be Free Software ones.And for example, I doubt any public service anywhere could actually use this license since they probably don't strictly respect UDHR in a way or another.(After all UDHR seems more like principles rather than actual rights as otherwise all governments would have broke it)
