Composing music and programming have lots in common. If you like one, you should try the other.

@raphael how do I get starred with composing music?I can badly transcribe sheet music into LMMS and pick instruments that sound vaguely similar to the ones in the OG song, but I have bo idea how I'd get started with anything of my own.

@wolf480pl It really depends on your music knowledge and interests in styles. But soft ways to start can be:- Field recording: Recording sound with a hi-def portable mic such as a Zoom in various situations- Live coding if you come from programming (even if you don’t actually)- Buying a couple of cheap instruments and start making ambient pieces- Modular synths (start with digital ones, it’s less expensive)- Singingcc @rundmcollie
