Even if total profile sizes aren't huge right now, the mechanism is in place for them to quickly increase those and 2020 COVID crash showed they're willing to let the very came companies currently buy into securities and bonds market on tax payer money to force stability. But here's some basics from finance works which I do know+ a little bit of crypto knowledge that's probably outdated.The founding members are interesting. One thing I like about this is it has bank CEOs on the list, particularly SoFi. Banks are generally pretty evil, but they have a lot of regulation and scrutiny at the federal level. I won't say this makes it "safe", but it looks like it's unlikely to be a pump and dump scheme from that aspect alone. As for how it works, I still have to delve into that, specifically the "eco friendly ledger". Ledgers normally take a crap load of hand offs and time and are basically why BTC etc is annoying to use, so anything that can do it with less energy can likely do it in a more efficient way. Most likely this means using custodian intermediaries to coin clip you along the way, but theoretically could be cheaper than currency processing pools or whatever. This is reinforced by the ripple backing. This is confirmed by the "built in compliance" aspect, which suggests it's got aml BS built in, functionally requiring a custodian.So my conclusion without knowing much here is that it's going to be used to do the evil shitty parts of crypto + be an alternative to visa and MasterCard with potentially less cost and more security. I can't say if it's good for you, but I'm going to buy some soon and either prove myself to be the cramer of cryptocurrency or finally hit.

Throw $200 at it and you get 10,000 tokens for an ISO 20022 compliant jew coin that runs on the Stellar rails and the CTO was an original coder for Ripple and the CEO came from Stellar. I wanted too buy HBAR crypto but there weren't any American based exchanges that were listing it, so I decided I'd open up an Australian brokerage account at a brokerage called Caleb & Brown (C&B). They are kind of famous for their custodianship and they were listing HBAR, cool. In order too legally sell digital assets too Americans, C&B has too have a brick-and-mortar office in America. Their brick and mortar office is in Oklahoma at some podunk town bank you've never heard of. C&B has a minimum buy order of $500 and too also open an account. I had too wire transfer the buy order too the Oklahoma bank branch from Honolulu. The fee was $50 and it took the SWIFT system 5 days too complete the transaction!!!XRP was invented too circumvent this expensive and delayed remittance. If I could have used XRP too conduct the wire transfer, it would have cost me 1 penny, and it would have only taken 5 seconds.Not joking.Sorry for the effort post, but you said you are kind of new too crypto.

The ability to have specific traceable and BIS compatible data tied to every transaction, potentially integrating accounting with inventory and eliminating a lot of paperwork. That's the idea anyway... execution will be slow and painful and take a long time.
