For anyone who writes code in *any* language for @buttplugio (but example is in rust 'cause I already had that open): Which do you like more, explicit actions as methods, or the generic methods for lookup/command? (Both is also an option as the explicit version can be built from generic easily)

@buttplugio the explicit option is more concise and discoverable, but if you expect that any third party might want to extend the types of commands that could be issued then providing the generic method for that would be useful too.

@buttplugio this is typically how I end up architecting command-based stuff anyway. a generic "send command" function that operates at a lower level and requires more verbose calls, then convenience wrappers as the primary public API surface.
