AI finds hundreds of potential antibiotics in snake and spider venom Researchers at the University of Pennsylvania used a deep-learning system called APEX to sift through a database of more than 40 million venom encrypted peptides (VEPs), tiny proteins evolved by animals for attack or as a defense mechanism. Most of my life there have been stories of bee sting treatments for things like MS so no doubt there are physical effects that may in some circumstance benefit an ailment.. leeches work too but creatures and synthetics are worlds apart.. it's great to investigate mechanisms but as far as new chemicals to improve treatment not gonna buy into models of efficacy or trust safety profile of any substance that isn't older than me!
