I do still find it strange when people tell a random stranger online to kill themselves and then double down on it. I've had who I assume were two trans people do this with me since they were on a trans instance. It was just bizarre. Especially because it got specific with one of them and they kept it going for a few posts. I have to question if someone is feeling okay when they resort to this.

@taylan @MK2boogaloo To be honest, I didn't take his post too seriously. I don't know how serious it is but there were parts that made it sound less serious. There is a difference between that and telling someone specifically to kill themselves, yes. I have seen both. I have had some people double down on telling me to kill myself over an opinion I made. Even to the point of hijacking my brain into doing it. It is not actually fun to be put in a place like that. You don't know if the person on the other end has suicidal ideation or not. Thankfully MK2 doesn't seem to be heavily impacted. Telling someone to kill themselves once is one thing but there is no need to double down on it again. Especially in a place like fedi where a lot of people are going to have mental health problems. That this behaviour is so normalised here is bizarre.
