Someone in government 'accidently' emailed a list of Afghans that helped the UK army. About 1000. On the back of this 'data breach' they offered 24k Afghans asylum in the UK. Current and previous gov hid everything and used the courts to stop the press reporting it. It just came out yesterday, It's regular normals losing their stuff, and big time. The penny just dropped with them that the government just does stuff and votes count for nothing. Standard first principal belief for me.

I think that both parties went along with it is really the final straw for many. Agreeing with each other to hide something this size from the public. Political parties that have held power for 100 years, that typically combined would get 80% of the vote are now polling 15% each. Neither of them will ever come back from this and I'm not sure how this will all play out.

I don't know in the full ins and outs, the full story is a bit murky and not fully explained as far as I can tell. I'm sort of more following the reaction. I think it was a Uk soldier that mailed a list of, some say 100k, some 25k, some 19k, I have heard that 1000 of these people were translators and targets. The cost so far is 7 billion. Taliban say they always had the list anyway.

Think people have always accepted the 1k translators should be helped, although question that they get to bring 23 other family members.But using the courts to block any mention of it has riled people up. Country is on edge since last year's riots, situation not helped with the government being dribbling morons.

I would consider them the government now. And I'm not sure they would exact revenge on a whole extended family, as they have some kind of theological framework.
