Hot take:If Windows 8 was marketed as a Home Theater branch of Windows, and the changes in 8.1 were present from the start for desktop users it would be remembered in a far more positive light

@BrodieOnLinux I kinda agree with you. Windows 8 could be a Kodi/XBMC like entity by Microsoft and they could’ve brought back Windows Movie Maker.

@BrodieOnLinux i mean to be fair, windows 8 was also meant to be used with tablets, and not just with desktop computers. this was at a time when mobile computing was all the hype and Microsoft wanted an answer to the iPad i do agree tho that Microsoft shouldn’t have merged the desktop and mobile paradigms together and instead just brought us the classic start menu for desktop users :/

@BrodieOnLinux probably. My experience with it was amazing but that’s because I was using it in a surface Pro at the time, and to date I have to say it was the best touch interface ever made. But most people were not using a surface so their experience was rather poor
