Hey, Computer People. There was a fire drill with "WeTransfer" with WeTransfer granting themselves some potentially expansive explicit IP rights to files transferred over their service in a new TOS, then backpedaling when people got upset. Bluesky indie games folks are freaking out.Can anyone recommend an *e2e encrypted* file transfer service of this sort, appropriate for use by Windows/Mac using commercial devs who have moderate tech prowess (e.g., not scripters, not a lot of time to fiddle)?

BitWarden recently added a "Send" functionality that looks fantastic (or rather: is something I don't want at all, but might fit the need of those indie game devs I mentioned). But that maxes at 500 MB (which might be a problem for people making games). I'm asking here on Mastodon with the intent of finding a good rec and injecting it into the Bluesky community of people who have been using WeTransfer but now feel weird about it.

@mcc for the indie game dev use case, SyncThing might fit the bill? "Here's the folder of game assets, contents are automatically synchronized between all parties"https://syncthing.net/Open source, publicly-documented protocol, uses TLS for encrypting data over-the-wire.

@mcc if this is not for ad-hoc file transfer between two random people, perhaps file syncing solutions like syncthing/resilio sync would be a good fit?
