       my favorite part about software dev is spending all day learning aws roles, policies, how lambda works, how to optimize the cold start, packaging libraries in layers, whoops turns out the policy is fucked i need to update it, whoops turns out i need an api gateway for lambda, whoops turns out the policy is fucked i need to update it again, whoops this code is fucked but i can't even see any logs, oh so i need cloudwatch to see logs, whoops turns out the policy is fucked i need to update it again again, WHOOPS TURNS OUT YOUTUBE BLOCKS AWS IP ADDRESSES SO I CANT EVEN USE THE CODE I SPENT ALL DAY WRITING

       so glad my employer doesn't know what residential proxies are so i can just convince him to get a small dell optiplex to stick in the basement that'll act as the youtube fetcher (and probably backend too because why the fuck would i stick it on lambda)

       @sun true! i will probably still use it for a bunch of other stuff. i still feel like such a retard when it comes to iam. its just so weird. im stealing configs from blog posts and github repos, but i'm slowly starting to understand how it works. nothing talks to other things by default, you need to open that up, etc etc
