To be clear, even though #Trump threatened #Russia with 100% #tariffs, the fact is that Russia sells very little to the #US, <$5B in 2023, & smaller amounts since then, so tariffs would make very little difference to Russia.#Sanctions that punish Russia’s #energy sector & its customers, as the proposed #Senate bill would do, would hurt Moscow much more. Trump also promised to hit such customers with “secondary sanctions,” but he did not specify what he meant.#TrumpIsWeak #PutinsPuppet
