Lmao 😬I'll need to see how American the production of TMNT actually is, especially after learning most of my favorite "American" cartoons were either French or made in Japan (who outsources a chunk to Korea).

@coolboymew@shitposter.world It was pretty surprising to learn that both Transformers and GI Joe were done by Japanese studios (and a shit ton of other high-quality classic American animations going all the way back to the '60s, at least). Thundercats was super obvious when i first watched it, especially coming off of He-Man. Lmao.But, I was crushed when I recently found out Totally Spies was actually French (I Totally thought it was American until, like, this year). 😩 But, I did feel a bit better knowing Thomas Astruc was the storyboard organizer for it. And it made more sense where Miraculous got some of its style from (the scene transition in both is super similar). Actually, both shows sound phenomenally natural (and, imo, a bit better) in their English dubs, to the point that I keep forgetting they're not the original. But, I don't speak French, so maybe you'd have a different opinion. 😅
