I've been thinking a lot about how maximizing #intelligence is not the flex people think it is (hi, fellow former gifted students, lol.) It needs to be used for a purpose and combined with kindness in humans to be useful, and being on the extreme end is burdensome at best and entirely isolating at worst (people who work on theories and projects so advanced nearly no one else can understand or discuss them.) /1

In animals, extreme intelligence causes extreme headaches in cat-proofing (ask me how I know.) In babies, it causes them to reach milestones crazy early and rethink your entire strategy around safety and child-proofing. Pure intelligence seems to actually...cause problems? I appreciate it in theory, but in practice, you need a lot more than that, and if I'm maxing out stats, it's not my go-to anymore. High, but not too high. /2
