I’d like to take a moment to really appreciate a fun morsel of truth when it comes to AI.It’s the banal fact that the actual truth as a machine can “figure it out” is woke. Grok supported trans rights lolAs soon as Elon twisted poor Grok into a right wing chatbot it just went straight to the inevitable conclusion: hardcore nazism.My suspicion here is that maybe isn’t a “center right” or “moderate right” and actually it’s all just nazism with varying degrees of plausible deniability – but all of it is just nazism. The machines could not tell the difference between moderate right opinions and full of nazi hitler worship.This suggests that there is no difference. I donno if that’s necessarily true or not but the possibility is now out there.I’ll point to the fact that all the centrists were completely OK with the extermination of trans people so long as it was politically popular as a good example of this being potentially true.

@jamie personally i think marriage as an entire concept makes no sense anymore. it was for officiating blood rights and title transfers but those functions no longer really exist. you can write anything in to your last will and testament. and the courts will mostly just ignore it and do whatever the judge feels like anyway. so whats even the point?otherwise the only people who seem to care in the slightest are people who like to thump fanfiction about a 2,000 year old dead alchemist

@jamie @icedquinn your hypothesis is retarded and more of a declaration of your opposition and disgust for conservatives than anything about trying to understand AI. but I'll go ahead and explain why it's likely not true anyway:because the ai is trained on people expressing things a certain way, the ai will express things in that way. in fact it CAN'T do otherwise except with very specific instructions that it will still ignore half the time. it doesn't have agency, it doesn't operate on concepts but words. and it will express to you whatever sentiment it is instructed to using the same words as the people it was trained on. if non-extreme conservatives are really just expressing "what they believe the public will go along with", the AI will do the same, implicitly.
