@JimmyTruth @GoyGirl Years ago, pre-wall, I read an interview with the model Lauren Hutton (pictured then and now) wherein she said you had to be beyond childbearing years to even understand what all the whole male/female drama was all about. This really stuck with me, even though at the time I wasn't practicing Christianity and I lived by the law of the fallen world. Sex is indivisible from reproduction, even if we've tried to split reality down the middle and experience pleasure without pain.

@GoyGirl I feel sorrier for the guys trying to make their way in this romantic landscape than the wammans, but they are to be pitied as well. Where I am, SOOOOOO many of them are already fat before they're even 20. You can tell a lot of them are good girls, but they won't be able to attract a good husband. I want to hug them and tell them to lose weight, but that's considered evil nowadays.

@cjd @GoyGirl you and I live in different worlds, my brother. you seem pretty cool, but history for you started with ww2 and all your beliefs are predicated on the assumption that there is no God but you and that Scripture is a mythical just-so storywhen God confronted Adam in the garden about eating the fruit of the tree which was forbidden to him, Adam did not take responsibility for his action but instinctively blamed the woman. the gender war dates back to this. one of the curses put upon Eve after their expulsion from paradise includes "your desire shall be for your husband." this is, in reality, not a curse but a path to salvation--for a woman to love and desire only her husband. we women simply cannot be promiscuous and be mentally healthy and whole. being Orthodox, I have some insight into male/female relations in the Eastern Christian world. it has been contaminated by Western feminism for at least 150 years, and things were not exactly harmonious before that. Islamic women rebel the instant their men are suppressed. I don't think this is a good thing.

There were lovely things about the 50's, but a lot of those housewives abused amphetamines behind the scenes & their husbands felt soulless in their industrial, for-the-man "careers," too, consumption of Playboy, etc, started. Humans were happier being tribal prior.That said, where there's differences in people, even gender, there is warring. I view the 40's as the last widespread socially ideal decade, but the 50's - even 60's - still scored economically.My grandpa was lucky enough to start his own unique trade business in the 50's, but it was largely because the family farm lost profitability. I've heard it argued that pre-1913 was the peak. That's when the first airplane was invented by two *bicycle mechanics* (their job title bears repeating). Also hot and cold running water became prevalent, internal combustion engines. Great leap forward during that time. Then came central banking.But bigger question is what does society look like that is *stable*, not going to burn itself out. Maybe people are less happy, but they're not 3 generations away from disaster...
