@kaia Yeah, I never used any custom ROM back when they were hard to install. It's so easy now, lol.

@kaia Still not sure if I can trust Graphene given how awful they always behave towards others. 🫤

@kaia Up to now it has required full SafetyNet integration which Graphene does not support. If I recall correctly, SafetyNet is being deprecated, perhaps it will work in future.

@raccoon I've been looking for alternatives as my bank just tells me to use Google Wallet (which I cannot use due to the Play Integrity API cucking me).Any suggestions?@kaia

@finlaydag33k@social.linux.pizza @kaia@brotka.st Change bank.Joking aside, sorry but I don't remember, I read about it a while back.An option you have is to make a secondary profile and install google stuff, including the wallet.

@kaia No.A few years ago, Google introduced the new "Play Integrity API".Google Wallet requires at least the "MEETS_DEVICE_INTEGRITY" verdict (which requires a signed ROM loaded in by a locked bootloader). At the moment, custom ROMs can only get the "MEETS_BASIC_INTEGRITY" verdict (due to needing an unlocked bootloader to be able to load unsigned/unapproved ROMs).

@raccoon The problem is that Google Wallet simply won't work on your device because you won't pass the Play Integrity API's requirements, so sadly doing it in a secondary profile won't really change much. D:To pass the requirements, you need to re-lock the bootloader (at which point, custom ROMs can no longer boot). @kaia

@finlaydag33k @kaia Graphene isn't worth it. Too many problems. I love stock Pixel OS now. Just works
