       @selea What’s the motivation behind this change? Is it generally agreed that folks should be running small instances now? Isn’t that a burden on users?

       @foss_north I've never been motivated by being a large instance with thousands of users - but I'm motivated by a good culture, nice users and a environment surrounded by nerds like me.Also, the vast majority of users that have joined the last year is inactive - it is basically users that has been on fedi for a long time (with exceptions) that is being active anyway.Every user can create their own invite link too, so it is not really hard to get in anyway.The number of users does not really affect the cost of this instance either - but federation is. So cost has nothing really to do with this decision either.
