@elduvelle@neuromatch.social I firmly believe that the electoral system is unsuited to the challenges ahead of us with respect to climate change. I can't pretend to know what is, but I am fairly certain that the system that landed us in this dire place is not going to be the system that helps us move to a better one.

@abucci @elduvelle Voting Green isnt about having The Greens.win per se, its about moving the Overton Window and allowing the rise ID the true radical ideas that aren't yet even in the discussion and yet need to be (dissolution of nation states etc) I have no idea if voting Green will solve the problems, it likely won't albeit I do tend to support way more of their policies then any other party but heres the thing... there's a little uncertainty around that and we know with 100% certinty that voting for the incumbemnts who brought us here will not fix any of the problems and will make it worse, those are stark choices. So, short of some weird spontaneous revolution, or gaint leap a foward in human evokution, there are no other options for change needed, aside from voting Green.I've be voting Green for 20 years in Australia because i support; better socialised healthcare, higher taxing of billionaires, free socialised education, no backdoors for state help for private education, more renewable enrgy, banning fossil fuels, better treatment of refugees, better native peoples outcomes, more public transport, way way less cars, less urban sprawl and better environmental protections, better housing etc as some examples but that's only the tip in terms of the entire way we have stupidly organised the planets social, political and economic systems.
