a lot of myths don't really fit into movies because as parables they are both pretty short and to the point and also take place in a continuous narrative that makes up the entire culture of mythology, so when you narrativize them to 2 hours they either are like 80% padding or a random walk around related myths. getting the feeling this is the padding kind, and that is only ok if all the padding is various claymation animals doing things #monsterdon
