@William_The_DragonbornStory was so fucking bad and in my way that I haven't finished it as someone who has been playing since the PSP era. Wilds is probably my second least favorite since Tri, and that has mostly to do with Tri sucking dick because lack of content and forced padding.It's another one that feels like it reinvented the wheel for no real reason. Almost all the weapons feel kinda shit for stupid reasons, clutch claw bullshit was just replaced with wound bullshit (it's better but it still feels obnoxiously mandatory), half the skills that sound like they'd be good/fun don't work how they sound like they should making them less good/fun, and in a lot of ways it *feels* like Capcom went out of their way to make things slightly shittier.Horn having a mini game attached to its damage potential on wounds feels shit. LBG having to be inside the monster's anus to do any damage feels shit. HBG being basically damage lobotomized AND mobility lobotomized feels like shit. Counters on lance feel kinda shit. SnS is "fine" but it kinda always is. Last I knew the hammer's damage was all over the place which felt like shit. Bow feels too defensively good, and offensively mediocre. Every weapon feels like it's making a shitty compromise in some way that I've assumed since day one is just going to result in a skill tax to make the weapon feel like it's doing what it's supposed to. Everything including the visuals feels like it has this thin layer of shit on it, then they loaded it with shitskins who are too chickenshit to fight monsters but are somehow a proud and noble people who have existed with the monsters forever always having problems with them but never thinking to fight back (because if they act BLACK black it would be racist!). They also Body Type A/B'd it and made it so you could "customize" the voice only to find out later that it sounds completely like ass in all situations except while fighting. Hunter talks too much. New handler is better than old Handler, but that's because this one isn't fucking retarded and just gets out of the way. Having to beg her to allow me to kill monsters that are actively trying to kill US is annoying though.The joke has been "It's Monster Hunter, you hunt monsters, that's the story" for years. Why did they put a story on it? I don't give a fuck about these people, let me kill monsters and make equipment out of them.This has been Beefki's unsolicited opinion and over detailed essay on Why I Stopped Playing Wilds a few weeks after launch. Games dont get reviewed bombs really for political stuff in any capacity that matters beyond release time, since people deeply invested in that kind of thing 1) dont play games and if they do 2) arent invested enough in them to play more than like maybe 7-10 hours total (if at all) and suck ass the whole time. @SIC_Guy @deVoid @DrRyanSkelton The only recent game of theirs I can think of that's legitimately movie-game like is MHWilds (low rank) and that is pretty egregiousPoorly coded, I can't think of anything besides Dragon's Dogma 2 (the impact NPCs had on CPU performance was indefensible) and MHWilds. RE8 did have really terrible DRM on PC such that the pirated version played better until they removed it.I dunno man. The only shitty RE game they've released in like 10 years was 3make, not counting the dead on arrival multiplayer spinoffs, DMC5 isn't perfect but it's absolutely a DMC game that improves a lot of things about 4, it is very easy to argue that SF6 is the best entry in the series by most metrics that actually matter, and 5th gen Monster Hunter was great. Capcom's gone through much shittier periods than this.

@LittleTom @deVoid @DrRyanSkelton Not a monster hunter fan at all and I tried to enjoy it when they allowed underwater combat on the Wii.Only Resident Evil I enjoyed was 4 (too young to play the tank controled ones).Street Fighter lost me with the on-disk DLC crap and I've always been a Megaman & Darkstalkers fan.
