       @HarriettMB @essjayjay It's bloody preposterous. All of this is predicated on a false assumption that they will know whether someone is trans or not. Lawmakers need to get their act together and update the Equality Act and related legislation so that it accurately reflects the intent behind it.

       @ArabellaLovejoy Unfortunately, as I understand it this is Police Scotland falling in line with what's happening down south. Really, the only way to tackle this is to get the Equality Act rewritten, otherwise we're at the mercy of whatever statutory guidance comes out of the EHRC, and we know how *that's* going.@HarriettMB @essjayjay

       @ravenbait @ArabellaLovejoy @essjayjay Except the EHRC rowed back on their ‘guidance’ after Good Law Project had a little word. There’s no need and certainly no onus on Scotland to be doing any of this right now.
