Contrary to the ALT text, it's not the ladder that melted here, but the concrete directly beneath the ladder. The ladder is a good conductor of electricity stay relatively cold and transfers the energy from the overhead line directly to the concrete, which, due to its high resistance, heated up considerably and melted at a high temperature.Thx to @Laberpferd, @australopithecus & @dianea for information and explanations. 👌
