Apparently paper reviewers raised no red flags. The speech was scheduled based on reviewers greenlight. So probably a casting problem due to holes in review process. will try to discuss a bit about this.

What i said here I said also publicly. The discussions we had were friendly and people expressed their views with calm. At least we got to talk about this subject which was apparently an elephant in the room situation. Hope concerned people would raise their voice more on the public front in real world. This should not throw shades on people organising this conference. They are doing their best with their constraints and the whole event is not represented by this paper. I value this event and the people around it, I had to speak up against this.

@jon I guess pulling off the paper wouldn't make sense when it's one of the rare case of this kind of stuff having public documentation, which can be useful for demonstrating it's flaws (like mistranslations, hallucinating events, …) or finding some exploits (like prompt injection). Also one that seems rather concerning is the Austrian Ministry of Finance funding a self-called surveillance tool:> EUCINF project is co-funded by European Union under grant> agreement N°101121418.[…]> Defame Fakes is funded by the Austrian security research> programme KIRAS of the Federal Ministry of Finance (BMF).Which sadly after looking at what KIRAS is, doesn't seems to be rare: https://www.bmf.gv.at/en/topics/security-and-technology/Security-research-KIRAS.html
