But that's true of every big fandom.Google's been doing *wildly* unethical things for years, and most nerds never called them out because they made great tech, it worked well, and we liked the nerdy ethos that the founders had.Like Apple, that ethos left a long time ago, but it's hard for us to stop believing it.        @marcoarment I think being a fan of a corporation is tbh an abomination. It freaks me out and is creepy as hell. In 2025 no less. No publicly traded corp is capable of ethical behavior. Growth is the sole driver, and all else gets plowed under. Some are worse or better than others, and that's probably more about opportunity than anything else.
