       Almost done with the "Pocket Blender" device modeling. Does anyone else feel like a lot of 3D modeling is just making holes? Or is it just me. #Blender #B3D #Blender3D

       @jan i’m not a blender expert, but do 3D artists ever use CAD tools for making hard surface models? Adding holes, and many of the features in this are kind of trivial to do in CAD and you can then export the model the same way you could in blender.

       @pyromuffin I don't personally use CAD, but I'm sure it's used! For exporting, it depends what you mean, or what the goal of the model is. In this case the goal is to make a subdivision ready model. So even a CAD model would have to be completely retopologized, I'd imagine? I'm interested in learning more about it, at some point.
