@wendinoakland @amiserabilist you don’t need healthcare level supplementation unless you are admitted to healthcare. A couple of bananas for potassium, a pub bag of crisps for sodium, a proper ice cream for calcium

@Kierkegaanks @wendinoakland Treatment had to be instituted under harrowing conditions during the middle of the monsoon season, often in forced isolation from the main camp. Some intravenous rehydration was possible with improvised means (bamboo cannulas) and crude solutions (rock salt in filtered river water), but the worst-affected POW were dead within hours of symptom onset.https://jmvh.org/article/military-aspects-of-cholera-in-pow-refugee-camps/https://beige.party/@amiserabilist/114105222711907657

@Kierkegaanks @amiserabilist Huh, dunno the reference…? But Aberdeen is soooo gray, still, there’s loads of fossil fuel tycoons up there. Ought to like a posh bag o’ crisps & a fancy fizzy drink?

@wendinoakland @amiserabilist it’s a mid 90s film by lars von trier set in a weird christian denomination village where a simple girl (emily watson) marries an oil rig worker (stellan skarsgård). When he suffers a severe accident and goes a bit loopy her faith spirals out of controlGreat film, but I don’t recommend it to anyone
