@BrodieOnLinux Open does mean open, open to others to play with. Nothing to do with the ability to monetize it though. The author can't be 'not allowed' to sell it, unless of course they've picked some license that restricts it.Only if people understood 😅

@BrodieOnLinux I see a similar way of thinking with OOTB software stacks and freedom/choice. The freedom/choice part is of the code IIUC, not with any final packaging that some project offers. So it doesn't make much sense when someone says, 'they're taking away our choices by not supporting x anymore'. That final profuct is of the projects, of course it'll be what they want it ro be.People's freedom lies in the ability to take the code and do whatever, anything more is a bonus IMHO.

@BrodieOnLinux Some part of me wonders how these people can exist, like what if their employer stopped paying them and told them to do work for 'free' in the name of the greater good, or whatever? FOSS will never win with this mindset.
