Because if they had had a nuclear weapon, no one would have dared do this to them.And every other country can see this.This act is, essentially, the biggest advertisement for acquiring nuclear weapons ever.

And the actions needed to enforce it only raise tensions. And it won't work. Many nations that "must never" have bombs already have bombs. The arrogance is bad. And it is not even arrogance informed by indomitable military power. Because there isn't enough power in the sun itself to keep a lid on this forever.

       Western leaders make such condescending statements when1. Europe has a history of brutal colonization of the entire world.2. Europe, US and their allies have committed numerous genocides.3. US has a history of actually dropping the bomb.4. Half of their presidents are far right maniacs.5. They orchestrate regime changes and spur up wars in the name of ideals that they themselves do not live up to.How can they do this? Because they have a lot of what they do not want others to have - nuclear bombs. India realized this long ago and developed our own stealthy and these bigots are not able to boss around us today. Every country that fear hostilities from west will aim to do so. It is common sense.
