Can anyone here recommend a USB LTE modem that works well with Linux?Or are they all equally likely to work and I should just get the cheapest one?

@wolf480pl in my experience anything based on Qualcomm chips (using QMI, not MBIM or PPP) is reasonable. Quectel stuff has always been fine for me. Sierra Wireless have always been a pain in the arse.

@ret what about ECM? AFAIK ot requires the modem to act as a router, but surprisingly I've seen people say it has better latency than QMI?

@wolf480pl don’t think I’ve ever played with ECM. The latency on even 5G (which is 5G-NSA…) here is pretty tragic so I don’t think a few ms difference would matter all that much to me anyway :(
