Tomorrow someone is coming over to check our home for a house-switch maybe!They live not far from here in the same type of house but on the ground level with a small back gardenThe size is even smaller then our current home but if it's more quiet I guess it's a good optionI really can't hold this out much longer oof.. 😭

@stux Oooh that's so bad, right?I fully understand, people have been loud over here as well. Most have by now been reprimanded and the worst ones finally left. They too were erm, visited by the police many times. Add that to barbecue almost every day (not electric) and loud music (audible with closed windows) and it's All_So-Bad. I understand how you are probably feeling.Go pet one of your preciouses 💖

@stux I hope it works out for you. I would gladly loose more interior space in favour of less traffic noise. I swear there is nothing more glorious than having a quiet environment, where you can hear the chitter of insects and the songs of birds. I was privileged enough to grow up with that, and I miss it dearly.

The people just came by to look at our home but I don't know, she liked the space but kept repeating "how much had to be done" so we tried not to take offense lolAlso they recently got a new floor and kitchen so she also asked if we could pay for that derp..I have a feeling this is gonna be a massive amount so yeah...

@stux When I was selling my home, a woman buyer who was getting a major bargain, started ordering me to have the carpets (brand new, mind you) cleaned, the drapes changed to her tastes… I put up my hand and said: “You have pushed the advantage of your bargain as far as I am willing to go. The answer is NO, and if that displeases you, buy someone else’s house.” She shut up on the spot. She bought it.

@stux The carpet in the master bedroom was Berber, and cleaning it was a specialty. The drapes she wanted changed to window coverings of her choice cost over $4K. This was in 1978. I was selling fast because I had quit my job and was hitting the road with my tent, my dog, and my Selectric typewriter. There were 6 buyers lined up behind her because it was such a bargain. I really don’t feel the need to protect the feelings or grant the wishes of greedy, pushy people.
