       Eternal optimism will save me. I have been unable to secure a teaching position for the summer. I will now have time to take long walks and I will lose weight bc I can’t afford food.Ahhh…to be a teacher in America.

       For context:Last year my school had over 25 full time teachers for the summer program, along with a handful of substitutes who floated. This year because of budget cuts, there were only TWO positions open and one substitute on call.
