There's an ANT cameo in this episode of "deep look" as the young acorn weevil emerges you can see a small black ant scouting the area, possibly looking for empty acorns to live in.I can't tell if it's an actual acorn ant, but it is about the right size. The narrator doesn't mention it. (so I did.)https://youtu.be/rVYlWiFKXEg?list=TLPQMTgwNjIwMjUSP4tT2ySBcg&t=272

@futurebird Pretty much everything is about them if you look! I love seeing them. At the garden, I work not to disturb them, even though my garden partner says they live to rebuild. It's been fascinating to see what plants they like to build around. Plants with long runners underground seem to be a favorite.

@futurebird except maybe Antarctica (well... likely to find some ants in carry-on luggages)

@futurebird didn't see it before, and had to look a few times before catching it!
