       These are some ridiculous numbers:"Services Australia currently owes $259 million in Medicare benefits to 962 thousand customers who have submitted a Medicare patient claim, however they have not registered valid bank account details with Medicare. Despite the Statement of Claim and Benefit Payment advising customers their Medicare benefit will not be paid until they have registered their bank account details with Medicare, we continue to see 30,000 new customers on average added to the list of held payment customers every month."
