Peeba suffers from hardcore impostor syndrome, early and pre-PC peeba was pretty hard edgelord/doomer girl shitposting as a result. 2024 and on has been the lukewarm/safe edgy arc and lately she's been hitting the bottle pretty hard to mask social anxiety. Feels a bit like a weird parallel to how the Ralph arc went and it is kind of depressing.

That's certainty a factor, but I've had run ins, or was acquaintances with, a few famous Vtubers before they started. Picking on the edgiest one, I know that Sawa went away from the things she talked about under the name NC Clark because she didn't see a point if nothing was going to change. She did this before joining whatever agency she works for now (Flavor, It think, but I don't really follow her anymore).
