       @SallyStrange This is one of the defining features of one of my pet special interests, Satanism. Their entire political brand, regardless of affiliation, is “a secret third thing” which *always* coincidentally turns out to be right wing.

       @SallyStrange There’s a bunch of them; the old school big dog is Church of Satan, which was always openly right-libertarian. The popular new kid is The Satanic Temple, which was founded as a prank by right-libertarians who pretended to be on the left until they got caught in the act.

       @SallyStrange I should qualify that there’s one explicitly left and queer Satanic brand, they’re here on fedi, but it’s just a few people who got booted from (and sued by) TST for uncovering their right wing origins.
