       @shansterable been here with this in the UK, after they strengthened penalties to protect from false police after a hideous murder and rape by a warrant carrying real police officer.

       @Thebratdragon @shansterable the whole Sarah Everard shit show was incredible, after a police officer murdered a woman using his power to do so, the same police force then attacked women at the candlelight vigil for her death and arrested them with extreme prejudice and violence. The met police may never ever recover from that...

       @Vonskinnback @Thebratdragon @shansterable metpol have always been sketch since the 1970s, and attempts to clean them up get sabotaged by frontline officers..UK Police have given advice to call 999 for some years especially to vulnerable motorists who think they may be being followed by an unmarked vehicle (as you can buy blue lights off Amazon and Ebay), but it still doesn't protect against an actual rogue officer (as well as the metpol predators, there was the Special in Sussex who got nicked for deliberately crashing into a suspect vehicle without being authorised for tactical contact (which is essentially vigilante action)(for those outside UK, a Special is a volunteer police officer, they have same powers including fast driving privileges (after taking the course) >>

       @Vonskinnback @Thebratdragon @shansterable I also remember around the same time a senior female Metpol officer advising women to flag down a bus, or even random motorist if they think the officer following them is dodgy - can understand the bus as there's usually multiple people on one (although I think the drivers and TfL weren't too happy about being given this extra responsibility), but if its a real officer, what stops them making life difficult for the motorist or bus driver who helps the woman? (They can get the vehicle registration mark, and DVLA.PNC accesses aren't always as well audited as they should be)..
