Anyone who unironically uses the term "Bernie Bro" in the big 25 should not be taken seriously. People who are uncritical of the Democratic party shouldn't be taken seriously.Socialism or barbarism. That is the path we have in front of us. We can either implement ecosocialist working class democracy (and give everyone nice things like free college and access to a doctor), or we can sacrifice our lives on the altar of neo-fascist slavery until climate change ends agriculture as we know it.

@burnoutqueen It's not fashionable but I think it's still useful to talk about how there were a lot of Bernie voters who were willing to let POC and gender minorities bear the burden for their electoral ambitions, destroying the campaign's rationale from within. I never cared for the phrase "bernie bro" and it's obsolete now, but i know exactly what someone is saying when they say it.

@burnoutqueen I don't entirely agree with that. I think Hillary Clinton had a more engaged understanding of structural racism. Bernie absolutely fumbled the ball on BLM and really just didn't want to talk about structural racism because it didn't fit his class paradigm. He said POC needed to focus on economic egalitarianism and equality would follow, and frankly, people have heard that tune before.

For example: Nixon, Reagan, Newt Gingrich, GHW Bush and 2nd Bush and Dick Ceney AND Fox News AND everyone who bought all the Racism & hate and spurred them on? It is like asking a rabid dog to not bite people.The Democrats, who pose as Very Serious People and make the big talk about reigning these people in and preventing them from being as vicious, have done too much to enable their policies and too little to actually stop them.

I cannot in good faith say that the Republicans are good people who are safe to be around. They are fanatical bigots who threaten my life, liberty, and happiness. They also offend every ethical principle I care about, and they have shown a complete hostility to the democratic process and political dissent.I use a rabid dog as a metaphor for the fanaticism of fascist ideology, and for the futility of negotiating with fascists or relying on their humanity to protect the interests of oppressed people.
