       Writers’ Coffee Club for 16th June 202516.Do you write out accents phonetically/use eye dialects? Why or why not?Only if I want to make it really clear someone speaks with a particular accent / speech pattern that is unusual, otherwise I’ll just leave it to the readers’ imaginations, to enlist their help in making the story more ‘real’ for them. I’m sure most readers will imagine the MC speaking in their local accent, for example. To me, she speaks with an Australian accent. 😏 #WritersCoffeeClub
