Just stand on the corner. Support and numbers matters, and WHITE FACES need to be present. Last saturday white folks downtown LA were a minority. This is shameful. White folks are the least likely to be hassled.The front lines of protest, where you see all the stupid photos, is a tiny fraction of the event. The main body is calm, fun, people standing around talking, with dogs and kids. But no one photos that, since there's no juice in it.SHOW UP! Just show up. @tomjennings Portland, OR here.I will be at one of the smaller ones in the more residential part of Portland instead of the (likely giant) ones downtown.Hoping for a lot bigger than "tiny" even if it's not one of the giant ones.

@tomjennings my experience is in San Jose.The 50501 things are super normie white and old. Large though. (A few thousand)The repurposed homeless turned emergency immigrant rally this week about the city budget vote was younger and more diverse, but smaller. (A few hundred)

@jonathankoren Indeed. And it's GREAT that old why files are showing up for immigrant folk!! LAs probably a browner town than San Jose. I dunno. It pisses me off so many white folks weren't there, is all. But I hope this weekend that changes. Yeah all we got is each other. And they think from the hong Kong folk, DON'T SPLIT -- we can each have different tactics, even ones we disagree with, if we're all headed in the same direction.
