My subconscious is such a bizarre place, and I rarely get to draw what is going on in it. There's this twilight zone of my mind between sleep and wake as well as my dreams themselves where I get the strangest most bizarre visuals or ideas. I would love to make more art detailing this liminal space in my subconscious but I really see things that I often can't remember the fine details of when I wake up and I'm too tired when I see them to get up and draw them.This hardly scratches the surface.

@afairmaiden no this is interesting! I agree that it makes more sense to write down the stuff that really stands out as odd when waking up, and I like all the little details/descriptions

@sinpail This isn't even the odder and stranger stuff, I really dropped the ball on keeping track of the shit that floats around in my subconscious. VERY STRANGE WORLD. Am I ok lol im worried about myself with the shit i see in there (copes by throwing it into my oc worlds)

@afairmaiden Ooh really? That's very interesting... I'd love to see more stuff like this from you in the future, especially if it's even weirder! I've heard making a dream journal helps you lucid dream, and from what I've experienced, it seems to work at least a little, so perhaps documenting more of it might help with navigating/controlling your dreams, and if not at least it'd be an excellent source of strange and creative ideas!

@sinpail ive actually been cataloguing my dreams and trying to lucid dream for a solid two years now and I am literally notoriously bad at it that I've actually done the opposite and recently given up and stopped tracking my dreams... OTL I mostly stopped tracking my dreams because i get such horrible trauma nightmares I just didn't even want to remember them to write them down when I woke up. I was hoping lucid dreaming would answer that but no...

@afairmaiden Oh wow! Ah, that's unfortunate though :( Honestly I'm also pretty bad at doing it myself, but it still very much interests me, especially from a creative perspective. It's sad to hear about the trauma ones though. I really wish it were possible to explore dreams together, or at least I wish I could do it. Both to experience the layers of other people's subconscious and to possibly help people dealing with such nightmares...

@sinpail dreams are such a bizarre place for me, because i've actually had synchronized dreams with other people where we dream of a similar/same scenario but I have no idea if it's ever possible to like, actually visit someone in a dream and have them be present with it. I guess if you believe our material bodies are completely separate, then no. Dreams feel so much more complex to me though than just "look i'm organizing the days events in a surreal way", fascinating tbh but idk what it means
