Scene: Aldi, fresh egg stand, less than a dozen cartons left. A man switches out free range eggs into a caged-eggs box and is called out. Pandemonium ensues. Only by dint of there being no spare eggs were none thrown in anger. Staff roll their eyes. Rinse, repeat daily.

@oberonsghost @MorpheusB wow! That's dear! They're $6-8 a free range dozen at the supermarket. Higher if you're buying local farm ones at the fruit and veg shop or small grocer. Still under $10 usually unless maybe organic as well.

@psychopoesie @oberonsghost @MorpheusB My groceries are ordered online. Often, there’s no eggs available except the $14 dollar ones.

@treleanor @MorpheusB @oberonsghost wow! That sucks. Order groceries online too but don't trust them with fresh stuff unless i'm really stuck. Lucky to get my eggs, meat, fruit and veg mostly from the little shops down the street.
