@stux A few days ago, I was using my Android phone to take a short video of a power tool defect at close range. I must have accidentally bumped a button on the screen, when up popped a closed-caption utility. I said something like "you piece of shit," after which Google Assistant started scolding me for using profanity. Unfortunately, I couldn't remove Assistant from my phone, although I did completely disable it with no regrets.

@stux You don't have to add spurious keywords to every search. You can also just use https://tenbluelinks.org/. It adds an entry to your search engines that goes directly to the web search tab without the AI bs (by adding `&udm=14` to the search URL). And you can also select that entry as the default search engine if you want.

@stux unfortunately, I'm not sure that using profanity still works. I did a search for "What the fuck is <actual query>" and the sparkling autocarrot snippet started with something like "In spite of your colorful language <actual query> is ..."I will, however, try the fucking flag. (So many ways to parse that last sentence.)
