I am so, so very glad this little girl who needs treatment only available in the US can now stay. @obrien_kat i notice no mention of who's paying for the hospital stays and treatment and machines needed. my sister was in and out of the hospital for the first ten years of her life at a cost to my dad's insurance company of $1,000,000, this was in the 1980s. she also had a feeding tube, b/c of a CHD (hole in heart)and what am i supposed to do with this information, extrapolate that this is the case with everyone that is being deported (or 'threat')? after that whole "Maryland Father" thing?

@picofarad horribly sorry your sister had to go through that, I hope she is OK. I don’t know who covers all costs, I know they had a GoFundMe.What are you supposed to do with the information? Up to you, though I certainly wouldn’t recommend extrapolating that all cases are the same from an article about one case 🤷🏼♀️ Bringing up the Maryland father, I presume you mean Kilmar Abrego Garcia: deporting people w/o due process, including sending some to jail, is an abomination.

@obrien_kat No, my sister died because the Obama administration hid that bird flu was running rampant, in 2013. She died alone in a hospital in Chicago in the dead of winter.
