       @puffer the problem is that even if they get rid of DOGE and order refunding and rehiring, there is so much systemic damage, it will take months or longer to really fix it. breaking is way easier than fixing. for some things, like various lab experiments that take years to set up, it will take years, maybe decades to get back to where we were.

       @puffer we, as a country, need to accept the reality that it takes very few folks to really screw things up but we'll mostly all need to step up and work on fixing it, if we want it to stay fixed. we're dangerously close to a tipping point we might not walk back from.
