       @stux And most importantly, it is NOT a closed garden. You can follow other completely independent instances and any other social network that uses activityPub! (But why am I telling you that, you know it way, way better than I do 😅 )

       @stux If 10% of the people on this great instance donate €1,= a month, Stux would have no trouble at all to pay the server costs AND get some income from all the time he spends to keep it running smoothly.

       @stux I was afraid that, by using the 1% figure, people would too easily think, that others will be doing the donations. With 10% I hope to entice more people to consider a donation. 😉I mean, who will seriously miss €12 for a years donation! Side note: I never want to make donation an obligation! Everyone has to make his/her/their own consideration.
