@Geri Thank you Geri!!We need to encourage men to sign too: I have. Men can support women in standing up for trans rights by signing thus doubling the impact.This legislation is ridiculous and discriminatory and opens the door to legislation banning abortion and removing women`s bodily autonomy.We need to all be in this together.#TransRightsAreHumanRights

@Geri Ty for your kind words. I agree that DV is only due to a fraction of men, and, while people's relationships are private mostly, I hope that the vast majority of men are kind, respectful and supportive of their partners. But, DV is only the tip of the iceberg. I had to take a break from reading "Men Who Hate Women" by Laura Bates, about online abuse by incels and internet abusers, because it filled me with rage, and I know from internet women friends that they live with it constantly...1/

@Geri I know from my posts that there are men who agree with me that this is unacceptable, but I think more of us need to be speaking out. Women need our support. Trans men and women need our support. They cannot fight this swamp of filth that is described as the "manosphere" alone. We men need to be speaking out "not in our name"; we do not accept the name "manosphere" because we want no part of it, and we do not want to be associated with the word.Women should feel protected by us not afraid

@Geri I agree we need to start with young boys, and I know that there are a handful of projects trying to challenge and educate teenage boys in schools and youth clubs. The trouble is that there is so much misogynistic content on the internet from the likes of Andrew Tate, and a lot of it is encouraging boys to hatred and violence because they were rejected by a girl who had too much self respect to encourage the way they treated her. Thank you for your positivity: it makes me feel better xxx

@epistatacadam @Geri It's not my petition but I believe that those who started it were welcoming of men who wanted to sign.My hope was that more women might feel emboldened to sign if they saw that men were supportive by signing too. I hope that women do not feel that men are trying to take it over, because it is a women's cause, but that we are being supportive and I think that the more signatures it has the more notice will be taken of it.

@bobjmsn @epistatacadam Almost ironic that we are discussing the rights and wrongs of men signing a petition which concerns its with a section of society who know they have been born into the wrong, male, body.There is something someone with a sharper mind than myself can say here about this.Xx
