@Scarlett @Rose My mother used to do her jane fonda workout routine and those outfits were a common feature back when Jane fonda (and my mother) could still move in this way.

My Mama had a Jane Fonda workout tape! I've got a big box of movies she had and I think that tape is in there. Can't play any of them since they're VHS.

@Scarlett @Rose I'm amazed any of them still work. I didn't know VHS was all that enduring. It's kind of odd how something that was a revolutionary technology is now 5 times obsolete all within half a century.

You are so right!! Women at the gym now are mostly fat and good for them that they're working out, but they should work out at home until they lose weight. They wear tents to work out or spandex that outlines every fat roll and crevice.

One evening I was jogging and there was a heavy young woman jogging towards me in the other direction across the street. I did not mock her at all. In fact, I was proud of the fact she was exercising! I gave her the "keep it up" smile/look.

@Scarlett @Grumblesock @Rose Honestly--as someone who regularly goes to the gym and has gotten in good shape after almost 30 years now of exercising--most people in the gym aren't paying attention to others. In fact, we know if you're in the gym, you're there because you care about your health. We won't mock others for being out of shape because many of us all started there, too.
