I can just put the 20m part of a SOTABEAMS "Band Hopper II" as a sloper in my garden. However, today it snapped. It's already been fixed multiple times and I can't be bothered with it for now. However, I would like to replace it.Ideally with something that would work on all the bands from 6m to 20m without a tuner.Ideas welcome.

@M0YNG@mastodon.radio a trapped end-fed half-wave. usually reserved for portable use, i don't see why someone wouldn't install one at home if the location was appropriate. https://www.ai6xg.com/post/trapped-20-30-40-meter-efhw-antenna as an example

@M0YNG@mastodon.radio just, in general, my vote is always going to be for some sort of off-center-fed dipole. a trapped EFHW is just an evolution of that and probably better as a sloper. i've only used OCFDs in confined spaces where they were useless w/o a tuner, but hey, they made contacts!
